The only reason I'm still sane now is because of chocolate.
If not, I would have flown the coop by now.
You know, I was practising how I would write this entry yesterday.
All the way back from work.
Meanwhile, berating myself and generally thinking that karma got me back.
Bad.
Yesterday was an "eventful" day.
To couch it in kinder terms.
Very eventful.
I started by falling into a knee-deep drain just outside my workplace, earning me this purple bruise on my lower thigh. I think part of the metal grate collapsed, since it didn't look like it was take out (some the metal frame was still attached).
Then I started making careless mistakes all through the work day.
It started as small ones.
Then escalated to ones that accumulated and spiralled out of my control.
You know, the small careless mistake that affects something else.
Which turns out to become a bigger mistake.
and the chain goes on.
At the end of the day, I became so frustrated and emotionally drained.
So helpless.
My last day of the first week of work.
Became this huge mess I couldn't help but look on like a crash collision I couldn't stop.
I even thought, was this the job for me?
Could I quit?
Should I?
Then as I went home, I saw the message that Rach's dad was critically ill.
Then I thought.
This day is turning out sadder than ever.
I moped the whole time I was in the train.
Thinking I could cry.
When I got off at Tampines, I bought myself a chocolate bubble tea.
The usual cure to all my misery hangovers.
really. it helps.
I walked around some, went to school, then went back home.
Where I drowned my sorrows in a pool of procrastination.
Which is why I'm not doing my logbook report now.
damnit.
I suck.
