I am forever destined to be a chaperone. Maybe it's my face. Maybe I'm not lovable enough. Maybe I'm neutral, level-headed and unobtrusive. Trustable to keep people fromdoing foolish things they will regret later. Whatever it is, I'm pathetic - lamenting on it like this. haha...

Went to meet up with Nithya,Yoga at McDonalds. We ate there first and wandered around for a bit. Rama came during the time we ate. We went to Yoga's house, Nithya and me. Rama went to play soccer somewhere. We watched videos on Yoga's computer. Nithya had a few close shaves with her mother and she had to bend the truth so she could be with us. We hung out in Yoga's living room for a while and chatted. Nithya and Yoga could be seen having little snippets of private moments and feelings with Nithya, so much so that I felt awkward. I mean, I could clearly feel it, and wanted to give them privacy. I even voiced it out. Later I excused myself saying I had to go home, giving them the privacy they so obviously wanted. Later she called me saying that Yoga and her had reached an "understanding" of sorts - I can't tell anybody - and that she wanted to apologise for making me go. haha. It's what I always do.

I bought the hair colour at CK Chong Pang. Blackcurrant. Finally. It was the last day for offer too. Got stuck in the rain. Luckily I wore my top with the "built-in" hood. Suited my mood though. I still don't know for what I'm living for. I'm not happy with myself. I'm not happy with everything.

I am a hopeless romantic. Yup. But still...I watched Seducing Mr. Perfect on Youtube just now. Only up til part 7...sigh. Stuck again. Well, so far I like it. My usual type of movie. Ahhh. If only I could make one myself. Well, I guess I'll just have to stick to daydreaming...

My brother opened my safe and had the gall to tell me with a smirk on his face. Whaddehell?! Nonetheless, I gave him a resounding rebuke. Well, now I'm stuffing myself with chocolates and junk food. Ahh. The ironies of life. I support "volutuous" body shapes as what should be the right body image, but I'm yearning to be like those stick-thin models. haha. The pressure and acceptace of society and perceived body image related to self-esteem is more pressing than you might think. Well, such is life.

Well, Farah and me have decided to form a "sorority" of sorts. A club, more like. We were thinking of names ad I went to this "band name generator" online. A lot of weird name came up like " Cursive Vagina", "Homo Eraser", "Soggy Underwear of the Efficient Manipulator", "Pregnant Replica and the Entangled Anus" and many more. Another site yielded more sensible (at least, better...) results like Silver June, Roadside Nine, The Get Up of 44. I came up with Newton's Theory after seeing a name with theory in it and decided it would be cool. So we stuck with it...At least, for now...

Hmmm. Still feel lazy to blog. I guess that's because I'm lying like a worm at home. My brain probably has rotted to mulch along time ago. Yesterday, my father brought us to Singapore Satay Club to treat us before it closed until further notice (maybe for good...).

Went to return my uniform today. Nothing special. Then decided to pay my old workplace a surprise visit. They were all still there, with the addition of one new member. Kak Fatimah's still going to resign on Wednesday, the 28th. She offered to belanja me. I refused, as usual. Well, I kinda miss them.

I am severely depressed. Well, depends on how you look at it. But yeah, I am. Up and down. Depressed and crazily happy. Don't know what's wrong with me anymore. Won't try and figure out. Just the other day, I thought I had solved my problem of life. But it keeps coming back like a dark cloud...

Saw Paul Twohill, Jasmine Tye and Joakim Gomez in the train. At first it was just Paul and Jasmine. I thought they were dating cos' they were like playful in the boyfriend-girlfriend sense. Then a few stops later, they were joined by Joakim. Okay lah, I put on my "trying to ignore when I'm not" stare. But really, I wasn't simpering or anything. Act like normal, I thought. I was like a metre close to them. hahahahahaha.

Back from Chingay : The Parade of Dreams. hahaha. Don't really want to talk cause I'm emotionally and physically tired. But I guess I'm still gonna do it, just so that I can say I remembered. My sis and I met up at Somerset and tried to find the entrance for the half-lane seating. We had the tix free for the roadside floor seating 'cos my other sis was involved. Man, it was crowded. We found a quite empty spot and sat. The floor was covered so it wasn't so bad. And then we waited. And waited some more cos' the thing only started at eight plus. There was a woman behind us who was so enthusiastic, she screamed loudly for everything. Some more her scream was like a woman who kena raped. And when the parade ended, she actually cried...

I actually like the one where the people had to balance a huge pole on their forehead or jaw. A few times, you could hear everybody gasping because the thing was about to topple. Everybody, us included had a few near misses and were deathly scared that it would hit us. I got a free fan from the Japanese float paraders. Then there was this baby that took pictures with many of the paraders. They practically stopped everytime to play with her. There are too many things to say...

Before I had went to the Chingay, I had treated my aunt to a meal at Eatzi's Steakhouse and Bistro at SAFRA Yishun. I ordered Mix Grill Set and she had Chef's Special Set. The price range was 20 plus each. But okay lah, it was very filling. If I hadn't had such a small apppetite (or maybe it was just big...), I think I would have enjoyed it better. Spent $50 bucks. The "extra" was paid by my aunt cos I didn't have enough. haha. Before the treat I had actually went to Adelphi to return my uniform but to my dismay it was closed. So now I have to go back there. On Monday. Again.

I have just come back from my self-imposed solitude in my room. Psycho-analysed myself for about maybe half a hour or more. By psycho-analysed I mean talked to myself. Alone. At first I was crying, then I thought to myself "Why should I cry at all?". Then slowly talked to myself, tried to rationalise myself and my actions. It turned out to be a therapy session for myself by myself. I talked about my actions, my personality weaknesses, my faults in life. Everything I could think of. At first, I was enraged at myself and everyody else. But then I realised I had no one to blame but myself. I became calm after a while. It's like letting go. Of being true to yourself. It was cleansing. The whole thing that started this was stupid: My mother scolding me and me screaming that she was right "Yeah, I'm blind, stupid and lazy!", but it started off a "letting go" process. I know I blame everybody else for my mistakes, am selfish, vain, too absorbed in self-image and what others think about me. I try to please everybody and leave myself in the dumps. I am not honest with myself, am lazy and also a perfectionist (Don't know how you can combine those two together). But now I have accepted that I am what I am. I can't change that. But I can try and be honest with myself as much as I can and try to correct my faults, even though I might fall and get disheartened now and then. It was weird talking to myself. But I know that God has give me the courage to go on living with myself. God bless.

You know the skirt I bought at Giant a few weeks ago? Guess what? My mother bought another one for me. At a cheaper price. $1.90. Damn freakin' cheap. I guess it couldn't be helped, since my mother didn't know I bought it already in the first place...

I have found the joys of e-reading and now have devoted myself in front of the computer instead of lounging on my bed. Good stuff.

Yayy! I got an ATM card! Whoohoo! It's like a symbol for attaining maturity...(or the abundance of funds in your bank...). The coming-of-age. Went to Chong Pang with my mother to POSB Bank. It was surprisingly easy to get it. Within 10 minutes, it was done. After that went 'round Chong Pang. Looked at hair dye...again. I'm like obsessed with image nowadays...More vain, you would say. And I have nothing to be vain about. I'm like bloody frikkin' Plain Jane. But enough about me...

Farah's having some problems lately...Don't want to speculate...But it's kind of disconcerting to have someone close to you who's facing crises. And you can't do much. Well...all I can say is...Tough cookies never break. How's that?

A few things happened today. For one thing, my sis and I took turns carting around an old sofachair around the block this morning. Actually, we were supposed to throw the old thing away. But as we moved it into the lift, we realised that it would make a great picture to have us seated in the chair in the lift. There were a few hitches as people, of course, needed to use the lift. Long story short, we had to move it in and out of the lift a few times. Inspiration struck. We then decided to take artsy photos of ourselves with the chair and so had to cart the big thing around our block to the "setting" that we wanted it to be in. However, in the end, we did finally throw the chair away...

I commited arson today with the help of my sister. You know where you're not supposed to throw holy items or things containing holy words away, you have to burn them (well, for us Muslims anyway...). We were cleaning out our room and found some "stuff" we wanted to discard. No, I'm not throwing holy texts away, just old madrasah exercise books. And so we set up a burning "area" which comprised of a box with the books in it. We set the books alight. What we didn't expect was the whole thing to catch fire, box and all. Well, to tell the truth...we did, but I guess we were a little too fire-happy. Soon, the whole thing became a good-sized bonfire. My God. Panic. I thought someone was going to call the cops, the fire was so big. We couldn't fan or cover it out, we had to rush to douse it with water. Man, it became one giant sodden heap of ashes. And I was the one to clean it up afterwards. Hey, at least they didn't call the firestation or anything.

Followed my mother just now. Went to Toa Payoh and Ang Mo Kio. Bought my headphones and some clothes. I like to shop at Song & Song cos' everything's so cheap. For the price of one branded item, I can buy a few articles of clothing. You can practically buy a whole new wardrobe with $50. Provided you can find your size of course...

Have you ever wondered about God? About religion? Purpose in life? Now I find that about 70% of what I have been thinking all this consists of just that. Sometimes the thoughts veer off into the unknown and unchallenged, I might just have been "kicked out". Well, I'm a very curious person by nature. haha. (My friends can definitely attest to that.) And with that subject, up comes the topic of Death. Yes, Death. Everyody dies, and so will I someday. Where I will go after Death will depend on God. But I think Hell is my destination after all those multitudinous sins. I probably should repent, but I find that maybe, just maybe, evil has gotten just a little too strong a hold on me. I'm not faulting the devil or anything. I know my strength of will must prevail, I am solely responsible. I find myself wishing that, God willing, I want to have a peaceful Death. God-willing.

Guess what? I saw...Azh-...Azh-...CHOO!!!...hahaha. Yep. In the flesh...At Giant. Me, my sister and my mother were at Giant to see the "lelongs" as my mother call it. My mother, ever the skater. Not skate as in skateboarder, but skate as in cheapskater. lolx. Back to the point, saw him with his own mother in clothes section at Giant. I said "eh, eh" with dawning surprise and glee. I think he saw me. Was about to "tegur" but his mother was there, and you know him, so very the shy person. Ask Farah to go out also shy. Left the poor chocolates under Farah's table, never told her in person. Like whaddehell? The chocolates were left unfound until a week later. I knew how Farah would react to my news. I was practically grinning with unabashed glee...bout it. As soon as I got home and told her, she reacted just as I knew she would. lol. Too bad I couldn't see her expressio though...

I now know why I was sick at work yesterday. Bloody clams. Must be allergic to them. Had a damn hell of a headache yesterday. Vomited 2 times too. haha. You didn't need to know that...But I am touched at the concern my colleagues showed me. AwW. Wo hen gan dong ah...Sungguh terharu...So touching...*_*

Okay, today was my last day. Finally. And also sadly. Well, I will kinda miss them. I don't think I'll find people like them anywhere else. Today I was kinda blur as well, I guess because I'm anticipating the end of my "stay" there. haha. Maybe I just couldn't wait...

Chris gave me some oranges (they were from the building mangement actually...), 2 heart Fererro Rochers, and 2 of the photo frame heart cushions that were left over from the Valentine's Day promotion. Moet gave me a prezzie as well, which turned out to be the Meiji Macadamia chocolate. AwW. Fatimah offered to "belanja" me, which of course I turned down. And they said they will miss me (though I secretly don't think it will be all that long). But still...AwW. I should go visit them someday. Anyway, Fatimah's resigning on 28th Feb so I should probably do it before she goes. Nas was supposed to visit, but she said that she was busy. Don't know when next she will come.

Stocks came just now about when I was supposed to go home. A lot of stocks. Since our store is so small, it practically blocks the way. A maze more like. On my last day, I still had to do overtime. haha. Well, I couldn't have just left them with that many stocks. Even more stocks came. The funny part was when the delivery guy said or (sarcastically) cursed "more come, more come" because Chris always sent them away or said things like "Aiyah! Don't want to see you. Go away.". Jokingly of course.

Went to HQ to send my resignation letter after I left. sigh. And it rained. What an apt feeling. Saw a whole horde (yes, a horde) of Japanese schoolgirls taking shelter at the Adelphi with their teachers or (was it?) Japanese businessmen. haha. Reminded me of school also. sigh.

Haha. Went to Farah's place to register the JAE after work. Almost all of "us" were there. Farah, me, Sya, Sharmila. Forgot my camera so we didn't camwhore. haha. Wore my "outfit" while I was there, the mini skirt, tights and my uniform top. Weird, but I think it's cool. Sort of emo-ish. Hey, I'm not trying to be "emo". But hey, I get emotional enough as it is without pretending...

Well, saw a Watsons staff on board the bus home. OMG! Saw me wearing the uniform top. And the mini skirt and tights. Gave me that "I don't believe this kind of behaviour" look. Oh, well. Gotta have confidence in myself. But at least I did it! I registered! sigh. Wonder what I'm destined for...

The world is full of pretense.
Shadow and lies dust every surface.
Hidden, never to surface,
is the heart of all things.
This reality escapes me.
I am caught in the whirl;
of materialism and skin-deep ideals.
I am washed aground
Still covered in the grime of worldly
SINS and LIES.
Is it too much to ask,
to feel again?
But if so, then is this life not reality?
Only Heaven knows...
Only Heaven knows.
I don't think I am normal. More like a psycho than anything else. I don't know anymore. Honest. Upswing. Downswing. Happy. Depressed. Psycho up, psycho down. I am selfish, narcissistic. Oddly dependent at times. Obsessive. Hell.

Found something I liked. It was a skirt at Giant. Since Giant Sembawang is closing, some of the stuff are going on sale. I wanted to buy that skirt ($4.90 only!). But my mother said something along the lines of "Last time I saw that skirt, it was $3.00 only!". Or something like that. She said to wait until it went more cheaper. That makes me want to buy it all the more. Especially if I think that that skirt might not be there anymore later. It's quite short actually. Looks like a business skirt because of the vertical lines running down it. But it's snazzy with the metallic studs forming a shiny belt around the top. I wanted to wear it with pants underneath (I would be dead if I just wore it like that, so short). But if I buy it now and it really goes down in price, it would give me heart pain...sigh. And the more I wait, the more I'm going to obsess about it. Like now. rargh.

I hate "them" sometimes. Get away scot free without doing stuff. Basket! The nerve of them! Damn you people. And my conscience is running away. Thinking of all these nasty stuff that are positively evil. Evil. I feel so bad...

This thing keeps deleting my blog entries! RARRGH! I am going to say this once. And only once.

I am angry. Angry that I have no feeling at all about this. This, being my results. When I was given my results, I tried to dredge up some feeling but came up empty-handed. No bawling sadness. No outrage. Just nothing. I even just stood there, lost and waiting to do something. Waiting for someone to call out "Next!" in my life. I was only slightly surprised when Miss Tow said that my results were good. Or one of the good ones in the class. I think at least for Bio. I don't know anymore.

Three of the fantastic four got what they expected. Or at least were satisfied. Only Nithya seemed slightly upset over her results. I expected her to bawl. Maybe she just needed some time alone. I saw a few people that were that way too. Too upset to do anything but wait until they're alone to cry. Yeah, we understand. I expected some sort of heart-pounding, breathless, half-faint, anticipatory feeling. Nothing more than a few accelerated beats. That's it. But still, there was, at least, some sort of a suspense.

But I am overjoyed for Mun Yee and Jing Rong! Mun Yee is the top scorer in school! And Jing Rong is one of the top also! ARGH! And both are from St. John. They even joked that they should advertise it in St. John - "If you join, you can become a top scorer!". lol. Okay lah, I have run out of energy already...

Got to do an errand yesterday at PBJ (Parco Bugis Junction) ferrying 15 boxes of T24 Ferrero Rocher. Not the individual box. The 5 boxes in one carton kind of box. I went with Letty. Who can carry that much alone, sia? We took very long to get back to Caltex House. Why? One, because someone else was using the trolley so we had to wait. Two, because taxi lines at peak hours in Bugis are long. Actually it was only one taxi line...so we had to wait a long time. I think Chris got worried because we took so long. She even called her boss, who was at PBJ and she said we had left a long time ago. She even said that maybe the taxi driver got lost or something. haha...But we did get back. Eventually.

Oh, gosh. D-day is tomorrow. ARGH! So excited and yet so conflicted. Had a seriously weirded-out and absolutely scary dream. It involved some sort of demons and ugly creatures and I had to keep reciting prayers in my dream to repel them. And then I woke up suddenly in the middle of a prayer so I continued to finish the prayer. Freaky. They were coming through the windows and stuff. shudder.

Moving on to brighter things...Do you know how Caucasians always say "Excellent!" and stuff. Well, yesterday one said "You are an absolute star!". I was doing my Atlas act when this smoking Caucasian guy asked "Am I too late to get something?". I asked him what he wanted to buy. I said he could get something (he wanted to get 1 deodorant, he said it will only take a minute). He put out his cigarette first and when he had gotten what he wanted and was on his way out, he said the absolute star thing. I think it was because I was holding up the shutter for so long. and let him buy something. Well.

The release of the results is going to be on Friday, confirmed. On one hand, I'm excited. How did I do? What am I going to get? On the other hand, I am prepared for disappointment. If I get really good results (very slim chance...), I will cry. Just like when I got my Malay results. It gave me the shock of my life. Suffice to say, I am ready to face the music. My right thumb is now tightly wrapped in tissue paper. Why? Because I cut it on broken shards of a cup.

I am currently feeling very angry. Actually, a whole mix of emotions. I feel ready to cry and throw objects at people at the same time, ranting and raging. Well, the ranting and raging...Check. The crying...Check. The trigger for this would be that I was supposed to have cut my hair already but my mother doesn't seem to remember. You can guess my feelings as you read the post. It's damn obvious. I don't know why I even bother to care. But I do. So I guess that's that. Maybe I'm too close to my period or some shit. Maybe it's the fact that I'm guilty over having gone back to my old habit. Anyhoo, it was further aggravated by my sister who didn't seem to hear or care that I had asked her (with a please.) to help me attend to the sausages on the stove since I was washing the dishes. Then she gave me that tone of voice and that kind of face. Whaddehell?! You never really do anything at home! You shut the FUCK up.

So I slammed one of the cups I was washing down on the counter. Funnily that didn't break. The next one that I had washed and was hanging back on its hook dropped and broke. I cut my right thumb when I was reaching into the murky depths to retrieve the pieces. It didn't help that the water was horrendously dirty and that the cut was deep enough that when I continued to wash the dishes, there was one trail of blood. Not to big, lah. The cut not that deep.

Whaddehell? The cup that I slammed didn't break, but the cup I didn't slam, fell, broke and cut my finger. Well, by the time I finished this post, the bleeding would have stopped...

Oh, and yeah. Some guy who was talking on the phone, walking in the opposite to me through the glass doors, turned around and held it open for me. How nice.

And after that uphill task earlier, I went ahead and bought an $8 top from the This Fashion sale shop at the MRT. It was nice. Black. Victorian style, huge poofy sleeves. Caught my fancy and decided to buy it.

Something funny happened at the shop. This Chinese guy asked for the "darkest foundation (we had)". I showed him Cocoa, from the True White range. He asked for a tester and rubbed it on his skin. I had thought maybe he just had a dark girlfriend, wanted to buy for her. Then he explained that he was supposed to act as "Puff Daddy" in a play or something. We both just smiled as he said it. He asked if there were darker shades and I said that that was the darkest we got and so he bought it. haha. He's so fair, doen't even look at all like Puff Daddy. Fatimah said he could be "Bluff Daddy"...

WARNING: Major narcicissm ahead. Possible event of disgust and feelings of "this person is so self-centered". If you have any objection to these, please avert your eyes now. Orin other words, get the FUCK away from my blog!

Hello, it's me once again. The deranged, narcissistic and ever conflicted. wakakaka. Been thinking about my choice of work. I get not much job satisfaction, well, lesser than when I first started. That was when I first started the job. Young, eager to please, hardworking. haha. Now I find myself more dissatisfied or rather expecting more out of it than this, now. Or just maybe I am missing the interaction between me and people of my age, namely my friends. Enough of my tortured explanation. Speaking of torturous, on to more uphill territory...

Been sent on an errand. To IMM. Nothing, right? Well, try carrying two boxes worth of heavy stuff all by yourself. It helps that I took a taxi there and that I had transferred one of the boxes' contents into a bag so I can manoever more "easily". hah. Damn heavy, man. One box. Heavy. Okay. Two box. Heavy. At same time? You want to die, ah? Well, I have not been known to want to appear weak (of course, who wants to?). I am one of those people who just love to prove others wrong, to impress people, absorb praise (though I may act humble, inwardly, I grin all over.). Yeah, selfish and self-absorbed.

Moet had said that the stuff were very heavy, how on earth was I going to carry? And then I always replied with a smile, "like that, lah.". I may have been smiling when I first carried it, but by the time I got to IMM, I was struggling. I had to stop every few steps to readjust the box and the bag. Once, I was even forced to put the box down on a bit of bench space and a kiddy ride. The person sitting near moved way abit for me. Maybe because they saw the strain and slight panic on my face. I asked for directions, thanked them and was o my merry way again. I almost felt like dropping the box because it was too heavy, and my arm felt about to break. I finally settled for dumping the box just outside the store and proceeded with the sensors sounding off. I was too tired to move anything at that point so I waited until they reached me. Once I got the "who, what, where, why, how", they said along the lines of "wah, so heavy", "you carry from the taxi stand ah?", "you superwoman, ah?" and the comical "all Watsons staff must be Superman what". lol. I just shrugged and smiled. After all was said and done, they asked why I did not call them from the taxi stand to help pick it up. I just shrugged. (Truthfully, I did not have their number, how was I to call?...) After which my hand felt like it was numb and twitchy....*twitch*

I so did not look around at IMM. I was too emotionally guilty at having enjoyed the praise. I also was probably a little embarassed. I had been walking about like a weirdo, what with having to "kick" the box up a little with my leg every once in a while. And the fact that part of my shirt collar was pulled aside by the bag, showing off part of my shoulder-collarbone area. I must have looked a fright. Or at least, like a madwoman. The closer I got, the more I cursed at why I had even taken up this errand at the first place.
