I was having a pretty downright depressing day today.
And it still is.
Except it doesn't feel so bad anymore.
But it still is.
Kinda.
Okay, I'm being bitter.

My meeting with my BFF was cancelled.
I felt so disappointed and down that I wasn't thinking very well.
I felt this childish surge of unhappiness, which I tried hard to tamp down.
It wasn't her fault that it had to be cancelled suddenly.
I know she's been very very busy and stressed lately because of internship and some other things.
So I thought better of it.

I decided to send her a surprise anyways.
But things didn't exactly work out as I imagined.
I imagined sneaking up to her door and depositing the present.
Then I'd ring the doorbell and hide.

Before placing the present,
I imagined I'd take a pic of myself acting goofy outside her door with the present,
to show how crazy happy I am at getting to do this.
Like in those Punk'd shows.

But it was hampered yet again as I forgot to bring the darned present.
(not that it is darned in any way...)
And there I was, stuck near her block, just remembering that I had a present.
That I forgot to bring.
Bloody fool me.

And I had run for the bloody bus like mad too.
I thought I was going to miss it and be late to give the present.
So I went back to my house again to get the present.
Long winding 962.

Finally got on the bus back to her place.
WITH the present, of course.
Made my way to the door stealthily.
Lucky the door was only half-open.
If not...

I placed it carefully on the shoe rack and left.
Messaged a hint, no reply.
Waited until I safely got on a bus,
then called.

The feeling I get from the thrill of setting up the surprise...
...and being able to cheer her up...



...was worth all the trouble.



P.S.> I was really depressed and almost giving up when I realised I had forgotten the present. It was tempting to just ignore it and continue on my way to Causeway Point. But I was determined to get it sent to her today itself.

Do or die.

And it's lucky I did.

hais. Another long hiatus from me. As expected, I've been busy with the AS camp for ages. Too tired and effing lazy to post anything.

Well, except the Swap-bot posts of course.
Dunno why.



The swap this time was the 1/8 Lolita Bookmark Swap (Gothic Lolita & Sweet Lolita).
We're supposed to make 2 Lolita themed bookmarks based on 2 different loli styles.
Naturally, I couldn't pass up the chance to do this swap.

I would've kept it for myself if I could.
But sadly...

I made this from a laminated photo print-out of one of Imai Kira's artworks, which are all amazingly beautiful. Added a little handmade poker card, featuring an "S" for Sass.

I heard that my partner loves Alice in Wonderland
and this is very Goth Loli, so it works.



Now, this one I made myself. Cute, right?
Made from coloured pieces of card, and then stuck and laminated.

Can you believe that I did this all within half an hour?
I rushed this out before going to camp so I wouldn't miss the deadline.
lols.

I hope my partner loves this as much as I do.

Now I have 2 more swaps in progress and 1 penpal to write back to.

haha. It's been so long since I posted.
Partly because I'm lazy...and partly because I've been busy lately with camp.
Well, anyways I've received this package quite some time ago. This swap was from the Kawaii Penpal March Swap.

I seriously thought this envelope was like this (I mean it had cats printed on it.).
But it turns out to be a bubble wrapped envie taped ALL OVER with cat printed tape.

Well, since she said she doesn't have much of a stash going on. It's hard to find cute stuff like that in the UK, she says. I thought I'd go and help some by sending some stuff over as a reply since she was so sweet about the letter.



On a side note: My partner received my package for the Kawaii Penpal March swap as well. And she said it was so cute, I might have to watch out for a reply from her.
